Can you name one reason why a potential client should subscribe to your videos, email, newsletters, or any other elements of your marketing campaign? If not, it’s time to take a look at what you’re doing and find something to offer your audience. People don’t subscribe to videos or text for the fun of it. They want to get something out of it. Consider adding one of the elements below to your marketing campaign.
1. Make your videos entertaining. If your videos are entertaining enough, your audience will subscribe even if they aren’t all that interested in the educational elements of the video. In fact, you may be able to get them interested just by entertaining them.
2. Offer a teaser. Maybe a person watches one video. Why should they come back for the next one? You might drop hints about the next video, offer some type of positive reinforcement, share information about a bit of gossip that people are interested in, or something else that will give people a reason to come back. Just don’t share so much that you give away enough so the viewer doesn’t need to return for more.
3. Share savings. People love to save money. If you can show them how, they will return over and over again. You can share coupon codes, life hacks, ways to repurpose common items, or anything else that may benefit your audience.
The bottom line is that if you want more subscribers, you have to give people something to look forward to. Otherwise, your audience is just going to include random people who just happened to come upon your videos and will likely never be seen again.
